Description
Opened in 1990, the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex in Baku is the largest sports facility in Azerbaijan. The complex provides all the necessary conditions for holding international competitions and cultural events. Since its opening, it has hosted about 40 international tournaments in various sports, including European and World Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics, Boxing and Wrestling.
The complex can accommodate 8,000 spectators and is equipped with modern training and conference halls. In 2015, a large-scale reconstruction was completed, during which the building's façade was updated and artistic lighting was installed. Thanks to these improvements, the complex continues to host major sports and cultural events.
