Description

Arena Mytishchi is a famous multifunctional sports facility in the city of the same name in the Moscow region. It is a modern ice palace with a total capacity of 7,114 spectators for hockey matches and up to 9,000 people for concerts and other cultural events. It is the home arena for the Kunlun Red Star hockey club, which plays in the KHL.

Construction of the site began in 2002 according to a project by the Finnish company Skanska. The opening of the Mytishchi Arena Ice Palace took place three years later, in October 2005. In a short time, this location managed to earn the status of a leisure center for Mytishchi residents and residents of neighboring areas of Moscow and the region.

The central arena of the facility is multifunctional and can host competitions in figure skating, basketball, volleyball, handball, tennis, badminton, mini-football, wrestling, weightlifting and other sports.

Also, in addition to holding various sports events, the Mytishchi Arena can host concerts, seminars, meetings, dance evenings, circus performances and a wide variety of corporate events.

It was here that such famous events as the Irina Lobacheva and Ilya Averbukh Ice Show "Ascent", the Igor Bobrin Ice Show, the show of the French illusionist Dani Lari, the Russian Figure Skating Championship and many others were held.
