In 2007, she moved to the group of the famous coach Eteri Tutberidze, which marked the beginning of her rapid ascent to the heights of her sports career. At the age of 12, Evgenia joined the Russian national team, and two years later, she made a brilliant debut at the Junior Grand Prix in Latvia and Poland.

Among her many achievements, one can highlight victories at the European and World Championships, as well as successful performances at the Grand Prix and Russian Championships. In 2018, at the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, Evgenia won a silver medal in the team competition, which became an important milestone in her career.

After 11 years of working together with Eteri Tutberidze, Medvedeva switched to a new coach, Brian Orser, and moved to Canada, which became a significant turn in her career.
