The 2025 Russian Figure Skating Championships will be held at the G-Drive Arena in Omsk
Figure skating has always been extremely popular in Russia, attracting full halls of spectators, delighted by the art of dance and jumping on ice. This year, the prize fund has grown significantly: 2.5 million rubles are provided for first place, 1.5 million for second place, and a million for third place. Such a solid prize is an excellent incentive, along with the prestige and title of the winner.
Last year, Evgeny Semenenko won in single skating among men, defending his title, and among women, Adelia Petrosyan, a protégé of Eteri Tutberidze, won. In pair skating, gold medals were won by Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Galliamov, and in ice dancing, the pair Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin prevailed. This season, the preliminary list of participants who will compete in four disciplines is already known. The draw will take place on December 18, the day before the first performances.
This time, the championship will be held without the participation of Kamila Valieva, who is serving a disqualification, and will be replaced by Sofia Akateva. In 2023, Valieva took third place. Nelyubova, Chaplygina, Tretyakova and Bityushkova will also not participate. The women's competitions do not promise intrigue, unlike the men's, where real battles are expected.
Already following the results of the past Grand Prix, it became obvious that a new star has shone on the horizon - the young and ambitious Vladislav Dikidzhi. His free program delighted the audience with its energy and the complexity of the jumps. However, he will have to compete with such strong athletes as Evgeny Semenenko, Dmitry Aliev, Roman Savosin, Petr Gumennik and Mark Kondratyuk. It is almost impossible to determine the winner in the men's discipline. This adds extra intrigue to the championship, because in Russia figure skating has traditionally been associated with women's performances. Perhaps now is the time for bright male talents.
Tickets to this championship are a chance to see the best Russian figure skaters perform and support your favorite athletes on their way to new victories.
