The Channel One Youth Figure Skating Cup will take place in Kaluga

Each of the teamsincludes three young boys and girls singles, as well as two dance duets and sports partners. These squads were formed based on the results of six stages of all-Russian competitions among juniors, their temporary names are “Team 1” and “Team 2”.

According to the established regulations, all competitionswill be held within one day, and points for performances will be awarded in accordance with the ISU system. In the overall team competition, points will be calculated according to the system of the Olympic team figure skating tournament. The winner will be the team that scores the most points. The order on the ice will be determined by rating, and the skater with the highest rating will compete last.

The organization of such a tournament among youth is aimed at supporting and developing the training system, as well as stimulating athletes, especially in conditions where they do not have the opportunity to participate in international competitions. The Russian figure skating school remains the strongest in the world, and maintaining this status is important for future generations.
